With “Temperature”, Aythamy Armas returns to the essence of his work. Through color, the canvases are stripped of the different techniques and graphic resources to which we are accustomed. In their place, we find a single type of line, a single format, a single support, and a single technique, thus returning to the economy of means as a pure aesthetic and conceptual tool. There is no distraction beyond the stroke that occupies the viewer’s visual field. This time, color serves as the differential factor between one work and the next, almost like a panoramic view, an exploration of a landscape.
