Chiribiquete is a Natural Reserve in Colombia that holds monumental murals by native cultures, in which the reference of life and nature is present. Little Chiribiquete, is a show that holds canvases filled with thoughts about life, as cave mural paintings covering the gallery.
Following the artist’s signature style of fun characters in Black & White contrasted with bold colors and graphic shapes, this new body of work by the Mallorca based artist is intriguing, bold and brings joy and happiness to delicate and complicated subject matters.

Little Chiribiquete makes reference to a Natural Reserve in Colombia that holds monumental murals by the native cultures that inhabited those sacred mountains, in which the reference of life and nature, animals and the way of life is present in beautiful intricate murals.
In this new body of work Pinya makes reference to several elements of the Pre-Columbian era, such as the Jaguar, the Venus and the idea of the perfect bond between men and nature; as well as contemporary elements from our cultural imaginary.

In his works, Pinya makes constant references to the sacred and the profane, the beautiful and the sinister, the decadent and the sublime, the grotesque, the delirious, to summarize, everything present in life itself.
The artist presents us in this new exhibition, his Little Chiribiquete, a place that holds canvases filled with thoughts about life, as cave mural paintings covering the gallery.
